Mayor Papp Gábor conferred on the possibility to launch new flights and charters also in Pyatigorsk and Moscow the other day. He thought because there is a keen interest in our country and Hévíz from Russia in turn they should grasp the opportunity.

The International Camp for Disabled Youth was held for the 29th times in Balatonföldvár in August this year by the Hungarian Organization of the Sovereign Order of Malta. 170 people with disabilities including 110 young people with wheelchairs arrived at the meeting from 22 countries with their escorts.
Lufthansa practising planes at Hévíz-Balaton Airport

Last weekend the traffic of the skyways achieved a record thanks to the training flights of Lufthansa German Airlines. The airline’s Airbus A-319-100 (D-AILL) called Marburg arrived at the airport of Hévíz with 110 people on board on Friday.
Demage repair of Sármellék Airport

After the withdrawal of the soviet army in 1991 significant kerosene, petrol and diesel oil pollution remained at the territory of the ex-soviet military airport in Sármellék. The damage repair of the now civilian airport, which is owned by Sármellék and Zalavár and located between the two villages, has been on the agenda for almost two decades. The pollution is harmful to health and environment and the decontamination exceeded the financial possibilities of the local governments. The framework of the New Hungary Development Plan - Environment and Energy Operational Program (KEOP) “Damage repair of contaminated land’s work achievement” (KEOP-2.4.0) gives a chance for the damage repair. After many years following the design work by the help of the EU co-financed KEOP finally, the construction work could start and the damage repair can be realized.
Norwegian charter flight at Hévíz-Balaton Airport

Könnyid László said that Thomas Cook Scandinavia Airline’s Airbus A321 arrived with 170 visitors from the Southern Norwegian Stavanger. Hévíz is not unfamiliar to the Norwegian Travel Agency, which organized the four-day stay, but it was the first time they launched a direct charter flight to the airport operated by the spa town.
